Waitlists are handled via Banner, Instructors do not add or remove students from the waitlist.
If space becomes available in a class, the first student on its waitlist will receive an email via R’Mail stating there is a seat currently reserved for them. They will have 24 hours to respond from the time the email was generated.

Students on the waitlist will not appear on your class roster.
Waitlisted students are NOT added to Canvas when they are on the waitlist for the class. This means that they will not receive any announcements or emails you send from Canvas and they will not be able to view any of the content. But, you can ADD them as a user on Canvas (instructions are posted on the Canvas website).
